rear diff popping - binding bad
my 03 f350 drw with 4.10 ls axle has a really loud popping sound when i turn tight. When i was on my way to work this morning with about 10k worth of trailer and stuff on it my truck was fine but on my way back it started popping/binding pretty bad on tight turns. it drives good going straight still though. without the trailer it still does it but not near as bad. and ideas thanks. also it has 260 000 on it.

Do you have a limited slip or positraction axle? If so heres what I'd doo, change your gear oil (use recommended fluid) and put some limited slip additive in, do some sharp right and left turns untill the noise goes away. As long as the cover is off look for chunks of metal.
if not pull the back cover and look for chunks of spider gear.
Reguards, Mike.
