The truck just developed a clunking nois from the front left wheel while in a left turn. The hubs are not locked and esof is functioning properly. I jacked up the front end and turned lock to lock with no noise. Shook the wheel and it seems tight.
Any ideas?

Check the track bar....the bushings may be worn out or it could be loose. Mine had a clunk.....that's what it was.
Subscribing. Mine has a clunk in the front end. I first heard it in 4wd and it sounded awful. I thought it was something in the differential but that turned out fine. You can't really hear it during normal 2wd driving but if you turn the truck off and let it roll in neutral you can hear it. I'm now leaning towards the hub bearing which I know needs replaced or maybe the axle shaft u-joint.
its possible hub bearing is dried up of any lubricant and showing little to no endplay might be worth while to investigate hub bearings more if you dont find obvious problem
