Thinking of performing the delete kit for my new 2012 f350 diesel. I'm not sure yet if it's worth risking the loss of my warranty. Any thoughts or ideas? Is anyone using one on theirs and if so which ones are recommended? Thanks!
I have 39000 miles on my stock truck. It has been in the shop 5 times for repairs...4 were warranty. Seeing that I need a repair trip for just about every oil change interval, I would want to keep my warranty as intact as possible...but even then there is no certainty of any warranty coverage
I wouldn't change the truck till about 80k miles. You have to let the warrenty fix these minor problems.
yeah your wanranty wont cover it if your gone past 60k km. Its not covered under the power train either as I found out. I have had nothing but problems with mine. Sensor gone and now the heater has gone on it and cost me nothing but lost time and $$$$ dollars of lost to it being in the garage. Im at the point of getting the delete just for the simple fact of not having to deal with issues. The best part ford doesnt have an answer why these parts are failing.
I tuned and deleted my trk right at 80k. H&S make a hellava tune! I bought the tuner right when the govtt was taking h&s hostage and making them pay$.
Its like a brand new trk! Its like driving a hot rod all day. Love it. Great sound and epic power. Wish I could FULLY delete the traction control for60mph drifting.
Lost the turbo at 98k miles. My diesel shop said that ford would probably cover the cost. I wanted no part of that so I payed out of pocket.
Still burning tires and smiling every day
