Question Suspension Parts and VIN question

When trying to buy suspension parts, particularly the tie rod ends, the auto parts web sites want to know if that is up to SERIAL #M00000 or after SERIAL #M00000.

My VIN is F10YRL27813. Now I would think that I am before M00000 because I'm L27813 and L comes before M.

I don't recall if that sixth digit is sequential or a specifier.

BTW, I've got a 1971 Ford F-100 Custom (Explorer).

Suspension Parts and VIN question

Yes, L27813 is your sequential serial/producion #, and yes, you are before the #M00000 cut off. Not sure what the differences are, exactly, however they are signifcant enough to warrant being sure when buying/ordering parts!

Good luck!
