On acceleration the truck sputters and hesitates with 0 boost pressure, if i keep my foot in one place the truck works its self out and takes off with boost back up to normal. It did this once to me the other day and it has started to do it all the time. On my edge evolution 2 chipped to stock it is showing me 3 codes; P0299 P0404 P0611 and the check engine light doesnt show on the dash of the truck. About 2 weeks ago i pulled my egr valve and cleaned it. The valve was a little wet and was some coolant in the housing. Have an apt wed to have a sinister egr delete kit installed. Any ideas of whats going on?!!! Thanks! 04 crew f250 6l 179000 km, straight piped, edge evolution 2.

The 0299 and 0404 probably are related to the leaking EGR cooler. I would make sure that a turbo cleaning is included with your EGR delete work. As for the EGR valve, you could try to save it, but with the money you are putting into this thing, I would recommend a new valve.
Then we have the FICM. Are your batteries in good strong condition? You need to test that FICM for voltage level. The newer Edge can do that, but I'm not sure about yours. A Scangage can too. Or just use a voltmeter. Instructions can be found in the 6.0 forum tech folder.
11.2V when glow plugs are warming up and 14V at idle. Newer batteries so that shouldnt be the problem. I know the egr cooler is gone that was part of the reason for doing the egr delete instead of replacing the cooler. Im thinking the turbo sticking has a big part in the lag of the truck. Called the shop and for an additional 100$ they will take the turbo apart and clean it.
Turns out the egr cooler was blown so the sinister delete will take care of that, heads and gaskets are fine. When they took the turbo apart to clean it, they found that the turbo was completly blown, i had it sent away for a price to rebuild it. If it is close to the cost of a new one ($1600) ish i will just put a new one in. I heard the turbos from 03's put out a lil more HP then 04's, and the 05's are a little stronger built. Is there any truth behind this?
