Yes, I agreed. I am a look man. A mechanic is to stop by my house this week to further diagnose my truck and he is to point out the issue. I am planing on doing the repair on my own cause I can no longer affort a mechanic now.
The DTC with the thumbs up beside it, is likely what's caused your truck not to start. Before you spend money on unnecessary parts, you should have a scan tool that can read ICP volts, ICP psi, ICP desired, IPR duty cycle and RPM and look closely at how they behave and change as you attempt to start your engine. Possible causes: lower d-ring(s) deteriorated on your dummy plugs, blown out STC fitting and/or failed IPR valve. My money is on any one or all thee.
Well, what king of scangauge do I need that can reall item mentioned above by M-chan and how much is this tool?
Ok, I went to Amazon webb site but it apear that there are several scan gauges to choose from. Can you give me more details such as brand name or what it look like? Thank you for all the help.

Ok, Mechanic tow the truck and he claims that truck has an internal oil leak and should have running this afternoon. However, he did mentioned that is possible that I may have bad injectors but will see after he gets the engine running. My questions is. I like for you to tell me if you know an auto parts or web store that will sell remanufacture injectors at low cost and more than saving money one that has gret reputation on quality. Can you recomend. Thank you.
If you do in fact have faulty injector(s), I'm not so sure it is a good idea to risk going with an unknown aftermarket brand. The only two I'm aware of are Ford/Motorcraft and Alliant. Those are the two that I have never heard anything bad about. Did the mechanic provide you with any specific detailed information regarding how he condemned or suspected you have injector(s) faulty without actually running the engine?
Thanks for the reply. Ok, here is the story. In addition to my old problem where it was running hard. I stop for a burger and I took off and doing about 40 and engine shutt down totally and will not start at all. Engine turn strong but just does not start. Well, this mechanic is telling me that ofcourse he cant diagnose the injector without having the engine running, he did told me an hour ago that he found that Fuel Presure Regulator or IPR was bad and need to be replace and it will cost 209.00 for the IPR and 36 for gaskets and 40 for some O rings and 620 for the labor. please tell me if this sound about right. He sounds like he knows waht he doing but i just dont know anymore. He mentioned that the scream was shot and that once the engine is running that he will diagnose the other issues I have when the engine is cold and wont shift gears in the morning and that ir shakes while driving kind like a sence of pulling on the engine. Let me know what you think.
One other thing, he mention injectors becasue I mentioned that previous mechanics had told me that injectors could be bad. He said that while he is in there already that he will chage me only 80 dollars each side if I need injector replacement. Let me know what you think over all. I really apreciated your advise. I which you were here in Houston.
If you HAVE to have injectors then all I would recommend is Motorcraft. Everything else is a roll of the dice. They are a little more but the quality is head and shoulders above everything else.
I have a lot of reservations about just jumping in and changing parts without proper diagnostics, especially very EXPENSIVE parts. If the IPR is actually bad then I would change it and try to start the truck before saying injectors and o-rings are bad. Virtually nothing has to be removed to change the IPR.
