Slightly off topic-shop sizes
I think a 24 x 24 will work for anyone most of time and it cost very little extra to go higher.
Pour a ribbon pad foundation, put down two rows of blocks, add an 8 ft. wall.
You can add the poured floor later or not.
I framed mine with timbers for the walls, built the trusses myself with an open area up top for storage, covered the wall outside with boards as I could afford, later filled in with studs, insulation, and the got some damaged particle board from the lumber yard and covered the inside.
Took a few years but it was legal, usable, and I had a roof over my head.
Plan in steps so it don't cost so much at first.
I'm wanting something for the short term, maybe a year, to get inside out of the colder weather to get some projects moving along. It's been a slow winter, due to goofy weather, but now it's looking like things could get busy, we're going back onto a retaining wall job next week now that we have frost, and we also have a bunch of interior digging to do inside a factory/warehouse this winter now too.
