... So the wife and I work at the same place so she decided that we should start carpooling. We have been taking her car to work for about a month now, and always take her car on long trips. We just drove roughly 1700 miles in the last two weekends traveling and i just realized today that i haven't driven my truck in almost 3 weeks.
Luckily I had to pick up the dog at the kennel while the wife was at work today, I played hooky! It was like getting into my truck for the first time all over again. You should have seen the grin on my face.
Hahaha, I know what you mean. Sounds like it has it's good sides as well though, as you enjoyed driving the truck today!
I am in a similar boat .... during the winter months, I rarely get to drive the truck because we take the wife's car (which gets about twice the mpg's). In summer we use the truck much more often though for camping (towing the trailer) and going to the beach.
I hear you ive been sick about 3 months now. I got my truck in september ans have 789 miles on it 189 are from the dealer going to pick it up! Every time i drive it i forget what buttons do what haha
During the nice weather, I like to take my motorcycle to work, but after a while I miss the truck. When the wife and I go out we usually take her Fusion, but I enjoy the truck much more, so withdraw would be a normal symptom from lack of being behind the wheel of the 150, haha.
I am lucky and am in mine almost every day. My wife has a 08 Escape and I find it cramped and generally only use it to get groceries. It is far less desirable to drive on a long trip then the screw.

I couldn't agree more on the long trip comfort of the truck, but even i have to admit that getting double the MPG in the wife's car is pretty nice.
More MPG is always nice but I suspect with the new 5.0 and four rugged guys the truck would give me very close to the same mileage four of us in the Escape. I keep telling her she should have a truck but she just doesn't listen
After driving a pick up for years, I went to work for a company that provided a company car. I chose the largest thing I could just to feel comfortable. So for 15 of the last 16 years I drove a mini-van and they finally dropped the mini-van choice and added a Ford Escape. It was considerably smaller and didn't get much better fuel economy than did any of the previous vans.
I resigned from that company back in November and am now exploring an opportunity to steer my own ship. Not long after turning in the Escape, I found a '09 F-150 Lariat, 4X4, 4 door.
I'm fortunate I guess, my luxury is that I get to drive mine daily for my business. It's actually doubles as my office too. I got to admit, I'm jealous as all get of you guys that can afford to buy a brand new $35-$50k truck just to park it 95% of the time. If I ever win the lottery and get the opportunity do as some of you guys, I'm not buying another truck as much as I love my F-sieries I'm getting a Z06, CTS-V or a Porsche 911.
