An older thread, but as good a place as any to shed some light on this rear axle from a '77 F250

Is it just me, or is it odd to find a 3/4 ton work truck with a 3.07 axle ratio? Seems like alotta gear, even with a 460.
Maybe not, as I've seen a few 460 powered F-150's with 2.75's

Top row 3.07 D6TA KAA

Second row C03714 1

theres a few letters/numbers im missing but i cant make it out. anyway you could help me identify it?
