Thank you all for your thoughts re. gas mileage.
I've certaintly learned that there is a lot more things that can effect my gas mileage, then what I thought.
2003-F-250 - I have 140,000 miles on my truck.
Good point on the increase in Diesel fuel. I'm going to pay attention to the amount of gallons I put in after the automatic shuts off.
I've change the transmission oil as per my manual, but never changed the differential, because my manual says not to. I'm still condsidering changing it though.
RUSCHEJJ - While I've had a number of the points you raised serviced, there are others I haven't, so that must be where my mpg shotages are.
Thank you again to everyone. Hope you have a great day.
Bob
The Fuel tank will hold about 5 gallons more after the first 'click off'. The breather tubes stick down into the tank about 3 inches and the foaming will shut the filler pump off. To fill up to the neck (fuel going into the neck breather tube goes into the tank) you will have to 'dribble' the fuel in and it will take you another 5-10 minutes. Do this several times on fillups in order to check your mileage better. Your console mileage meter NEVER works correctly, so do not believe what it says......
EBP sensor is hands down one of the cheapest thing your going to be able to check. Ive read about guys cleaning theres on here and have pick up 2-3 mpg that they have lost over the years, theres wright ups on how to do this all over this site. I did it because my best mileage was 16.16mpg EVER!!! Mine wasnt clogged up or even dirty but I figured better safe than sorry and it only took about 20 mins to do
