Happy Monday Tom and all that pass through RI Howd the shop fab go Sunday Tom?
All went well. We reconstructed a section of the roof so we could slide a steel I beam on the ceiling. Then we put a 4" I beam /trolly up and connected a 1 ton capacity hoist to it.
This will make my buddies project much easier this winter.
That will make a lot of projectcs a little easier. Did ya get any pics Tom? I have a beam in place in my garage, but cant seem to decide on a trolly system for it.
Sorry, no pictures. The parts we used are probally as old as i am. My buddie has had them for years, when he moved out of his old house he took the stuff with him.

Age means nothing with HD parts like that. Usually means they are better constructed in my expierience. Sounds like a good one though.
Good morning and hope Monday goes well for you RI. Still on your day off Tom?
Actually i made it a two and a half day off weekend. I took today as a vacation day so i could go car shopping for my wife as her 02 explorer v6 blew its second engine last thursday.
Looking for an 06-08 explorer v8 this time. But from my searches it doesnt seem that their are ttoo many v8's out their right now. Sooooo im not sure what she might end up with.
Second engine, huh. Those 4.0 are usually pretty tough, at least the push rod ones. But they do have a tendency to crack heads. I see a number of the 95-99 v8 ones around here, don't notice many of the next generation ones
Good evening gang...... Hope everyone is having a good week.... Ended up finding. 06 explorer limited for the wife. V8 6 speed.auto, all the bells and whistles. Sharp looking truck. Keeping our fingers crossed on the reliability. Only major problem is the poor reception on the stereo. It has the touch screen nav system which is cool, but some of the common stations dont come in.... Very strange....
