The 56 silver truck looks nice. In the article about it they mention everything is welded together, running boards, fenders. Wonder how durably this would be.

Just to clear the air if no one bothered to read any of the articles about the truck on the web. The truck was built to show that it is possible to build an enviromentally friendly hot rod. It runs on 100% propane. The tires are made with conola oil versus petroleum. The inside of the bed, engine compartment, underside of the bed are all made from 100% recycled copper. Yes it would have been nice to have bigger wheels and tires, but at the time those were the only size tires available made in that manner. That paint job also happenes to be PPG's Envirobase which is water base paint versus solvent base which also goes along with the overall theme of the truck. Have any of you folks painted a flip, heavy flake job to the standard of this truck. None of this entire build was farmed out to anyone except the upholstery. This was done by a kid that just turned 25 years old and started on it when he was still in high school. Built it with his own money that he earned doing bodywork. That includes the design, building and finishing of the entire truck. Thanks for the interest
