Decided to grave dig and edit it to the correct info. I have a slight problem. When my truck idles, it vibrates really loud, but once you get going, it stops. It idles at about 650 RPM. The rattle happens at about 1400 RPM. It might be a shifting problem because when I am cruising it hangs there and rattles. My dad told me it might also be the resident fequency, I think he called it, where if the motor sits at a certain RPM it will tear itself apart because it vibrates too much. Also, another thing wrong is the turning signal. When I have the steering wheel tilted down and I go to use the signal, you hear very fast clicking noises like its shorting out somewhere. Any help?
Are you sure the idle is that high?
If yes, the IAC may be stuck open to far and need cleaning.
Get the idle down to 650 so the motor is not trying to drag you by the feet though an intersection.
For turn signal issues, the wiring in the column at the tilt point may be damaged.
Good luck.
Ok so it turns out. I exaggerated a little bit. I started it and it idled at 1500 for a couple minutes then it went down to 1100, but Anywhere from 1100-1500, it makes the vibrating noise like I said before.
Is it actually vibrating or does it just sound like it. If it's just a vibrating sound It could be coming from the exhaust, some times a broken pipe in the muffler will do that.
