Sold my Explorer
Hey guys, sorry to say but I finally sold the old girl. Had her for 6+ years - started with 85,000 miles and a load of problems, and sold her with 200,000 miles and still a boatload of problems. Actually, I traded her in for $500. I bought a brand new Subaru Forester (same style of car but a little bit smaller). The Ford never left me stranded but I dumped tons and tons of money into her to keep running. That will probably be the last Ford I own mainly due to the direction that Ford is going with their new vehicles and the fact that Fords are sky high in price for what you get (the new Explorer is a perfect example, as is the Edge and Expedition). Anyway, this forum was a huge help for me throughout the years and I thank each and everyone of you that has helped me in the past.

Yeah, sorry to see you go, but I know how you feel. I bought a '97 Honda Accord back in the day... Biggest piece of junk I ever owned! I swear I'll never buy another. Now I own 3 Fords, an '85 GT Mustang (owned 24 yrs, now) and love it. A '96 Explorer (owned 11 yrs, 200.000 miles) and still love it. And a '04 EB Explorer (not the quality of my '96, lots of little problems, but it's OK).
