ibleedblue's EB restore/rebuild thread

OK been a little side tracked with fixing up the house and didn't work on it at all this winter.
BUT....its go time. Hopefully in the next week or so i will pull it out of the garage and get the body braced up, pulled off, and start working on the frame.
Still undecided on what motor to use. I wouldn't mind a 302/351 efi, and think if i can find a good donor i will go that route. However, my favorite motor is the 400, and i just don't think i could go wrong there. Simple and powerful, cant beat it.

'McF' in 'Chessy.', VA has had 1 in the EB for a decade or 2 w/lotta other goodies. Claims it's unbeatable.
My fav is the 300/4.9 in this app.
Keep us posted.
BTW: R U familiar w/all the EB vendors?

Yes, it has had some body work done before. 1/4 panels and rocker panels for sure, maybe some others. They were never painted, so have since started to rust again.

Man your last post was hard to read. All good info but having to try and read it several time made it hard to follow.
I'm sorry but I for one think texting should stay on the phone if used at all and never used in a forum post.

looks good, at least somebody has not hacked it up yet, my current project I have removed several previous installed patch panels because they were installed in wrong spot and some were just done poorly. the body will fold right behind the seats too so defiantly brace the crap out of it before removing from the frame.

all the usual suspects BUT rockers post & strikers. those wrked on previously?
I like the way U separated the fenders/grill etc - left the others on the mounts. May not hafta search out measurements so diligently to "get it right" that way...
Will the body mounts need replacin? WH has excellent ones.
