2012 BS Thread Extraordinaire! "Let the BS flow"..........

I don't really want to say to much about where it is because the interweb is not secure, and they have a very real problem with claim jumpers.
Three miners have been murdered by claim jumpers so far this year......

It's both placer gold, and there are seams of gold bearing quartz. We crush everything first, than use air to separate the light materials from the heavy gold. Most of the rock is very fractured, and easily ripped from the ground with the ripper shanks on the rear of the D8H. It then goes into a "trommel" where is is sorted by size. After the trommel the larger sized pieces go through a piece of equipment that I designed that has a metal detector that senses the gold, and diverts it to a separate conveyor for further processing. All the find gold particles with the fine "dirt" will be saved and will go into a water wash system to remove the gold. Not a simple process, but very effective!

Thanks Jim. Gold mining is something that I'm very passionate about, and is the reason I retired early at 62 for. Buying our new house and shop has taken away the last year, but now I hope to devote my time to something I really love, and it has the potential to make things easier on my family after I'm gone....

Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Took a couple of the grandkids fishing eeeeaaaarrrrrly this morning. They sure know how to get up early when it comes to fishing!
Someone cut the wires on my boat trailer pigtail so I just got those fixed up. Don't know if they got scared off before they finished the job or what.
Got some twin air horns that have been laying around, I think I'll go put those in the pickup now. Got them a while back for the boat and then decided they wouldn't work for that application. Box said they were for boats, but the instructions said they had to be mounted with the trumpets pointed downward to avoid water getting into them???????????

Went way early, got home early. Gave me time to goof around the yard and fix that other little problem that popped up. Kids were starting to pass out around 10AM anyway. Devils Lake is only 30 miles away so it is a good quick escape with a scenic drive.

Evening Rob. The alcohol plant is still in the planing stage, so no idea if it will be built or not yet. We had a discussion last night and they still want me to help design the plant, but I told them I may not be able to manage it if the gold mine project is a go.
Harley and the wife will stay here, and I will go to Az by myself. Melody won't leave Harley alone because of his medical problems, and she won't leave the grandkids for that long at a time. I won't know any more until I go down in Sept for two weeks. So much to do, and so little time......

Bragging again Dave?............
Good for you! Unfortunately I had to work all day. Jobs are picking up, and I have to get the jobs done because I'll have to start getting combines ready in about another week. Did I say I was retired?
