Well, I get to see both of my sisters this weekend. The one from Roseburg is coming up for her birthday tomorrow, and my other sister flew in from New York a couple days ago and is staying for a month.

And then I get to go out and ride dirtbikes with my buddy on Sunday! Should be a good time, supposed to be sunny and about 80 degrees.

 

Gonna de-winterize the boat tomorrow............hell, it's only June!

 

I've made it out of Newport once, Devils Lake once and Detroit Lake once. Last year by this time we had been on the water a dozen times. IIRC last spring wasn't so great for being on the water either though. I must be turning into one of them fair weather people.

 

In a normal year, I should have wore out a set of boat trailer tires by now!

 

Wanted to try for Newport and 'buts Sat., but once again its not looking so good so I'll just go to the gun show instead. With Diamond Lake coming up fast, I should save my penny's for the royal "blowout" anyway. Might do Devils Lake in the PM or Sunday though.

Right now I wanna slap my buddy in the face for buying a cheap Chinese-made Honda knock-off bike... Not a bad bike from what I can tell, runs well, but very hard to get parts for. I finally tracked down a new rear brake rod for $15, no idea when it will get here. I guess I can't complain too much when he's letting me borrow it as long as I want to for free!

I'll definately be looking for a better brand dual-sport 250 in the future though, like a KLR, Honda, Suzuki, or Yamaha...

Little "damage" tally on our vehicles since moving here from east of Springfield 8 months ago.

84' Ranger: Hit twice while parked on the street out front, drunk college age kids next-door deny any responsibility.......damage to rear of bed and rear bumper.(repaired)

87 Bronco II: Run into on the street out front.......Pass side of front bumper driven into sheet metal.(repaired)

96 T-bird: Hit twice in parking lots.......once yesterday!!!!......damage to rear bumper (repaired) damage to drivers side front bumper and sheet-metal (not repaired yet)

These first 4 are all hit and runs!!!

96 Explorer Limited: Wife was run into by a guy on a bike!!!!......Watch out for these! he ran into her blindside front bumper at a intersection ( him going the wrong way on a one way street) falls over and starts twitching and screaming.....Turns out after insurance investigated, he is a scammer who has 6 "accidents" at just this intersection alone!!!!!

The only vehicle that has not been run into by some eugene moron is my F-250, and the motorhome, (all stored in Springfield) and my newest Ranger ........I have only had it for 2 weeks, so it's time is coming!......Never got a so much as a door ding in Springfield.

If you drive in eugene, be afraid!..........VERY afraid!

 

I'd be half way tempted to put my game trail camera out in the rig or somewhere close by where I could get possible pics of the veh and plate that even comes close to where I was parked in front of the house. Haven't had that kind of problem here, but it sure got the School Districts undevided attention when they were shown pictures of their students climbing the back fence and breaking boards off of the fence.

Got to figure out how to get an alternator out of the 97 Mercury Sable. Looks like it has to come out from underneath the car!


And yes, I'm very afraid of Eugene. Eugene killed my 78 F250 Ford Ranger!
