Tapping noise from distributor??
Now that the truck ('90 F150 Super Cab with 302/AOD) runs great I noticed that after it warms up there is an intermittent tapping coming from the distributor. I traced it down with a broom stick (the rockers sound fine) so there is no doubt about where it is coming from.
Not sure if it's the distributor, oil pump shaft or the new cam.
Has anyone ever hear of this?

Tapping noise from distributor??
you could have a bad plug or two, and the arcing of the spark will make a tapping noise. if it makes the tapping on a regular basis, try pulling one plug wire off, if still tapping, then reinstal and try another. But be careful as those wires will bite you if you get too close to the ends once they are off or too close to metal. that's my 2 cents.
