Save the Pledge of Allegiance

WePledge.com is trying to secure ten million signatures for the Constitutional Amendment to save the Pledge of Allegiance and our National Motto. This would be the most people to sign a petition in history!

Save the Pledge of Allegiance

I put my name down. From when I clicked to sign it and got back to the main page, the number went from 331,263 to 331,266, and was 331,285 a second ago. It's still a comparatively small number, but it's making progress.
Of course it's no surprise that our state governor Gary Locke refused to endorse this. His politics disgust me.
Again, I'd like to apologise to the rest of the nation for bringing you these fine examples of polititians: Gov. Gary Locke, Senators Maria Cantwell and Patti Murray, and Representatives Jay Inslee, Rick Larson, and Jim McDermott.

Save the Pledge of Allegiance

Signed and forwarded it.

Damn. I didn't need to hear the news about Pepsi. I didn't realize that they pulled those words from the Allegiance. I'm not ready to give up my daily dose of Mountain Dew but if they pull any more crap like that I'll have to.

I signed it also. It just makes me SICK, that people want to change a part of our history. Everyone knows where In God We Trust is written, if not YOU'RE NOT AMERICAN. We all grew up saying Pledge of Allegiance for 110 years (since 1892) to help keep America strong.

1) You CANNOT force anyone to believe in something, it is up to them. Just because I love blue, doesn't mean everyone else has, and I can force them too. As far as religion goes, it must come from the heart. Through my trials in life, I have had my proof. That is what made me a believer.

2) At LEAST ONCE in everyone's lifetime, we will come to a tragedy, end of our rope, or feel hopeless, and say "GOD HELP ME!".

3) I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG= I promise to be loyal to the 50 states the flag represents.

I found this on the web, and wanted to share:

Today the flag consists of thirteen horizontal stripes, seven red alternating with 6 white. The stripes represent the original 13 colonies, the stars represent the 50 states of the Union. The colors of the flag are symbolic as well; red symbolizes Hardiness and Valor; White symbolizes Purity and
Innocence and Blue represents Vigilance, Perseverance and Justice
__________________________________________________ ________
And to that, I say, In God I Trust! God Bless America!

"Thou Shall Not Bear False Witness". You didn't call Pepsi and you know you didn't. If you had you'd know the truth about this myth. It a shame when the reputations of good companies are trashed by people spreading lies.

I did call DR Peper and what I posted is exactly what the custemer service guy told me... I never saw the statue cans but I did see the pledge cans they were out in the early part of the year only saw them in parts of the U.S. not all and only for a week or two the reason I can vouch for this first hand is that I'm an X over the road truck driver for over 6 years and came off the road in April of this year. I saw the cans in Febuary if my memory searves me corectly
