BATTERY WOES... HELP NEEDED.

Well I fear the worst and am hoping to get some leads for tomorrows venture. I believe it's time for new batteries but I will be finding that out tomorrow. In the mean time, I would like some input on where you guys get your batteries, warranty length and types, cost and whatever else you can think of. I've done some searching online and haven't really come up with the info I was looking for. Thanks for any input.

Bummed in SA town.

Autozone's warranty is pro-rated. If your battery life lasts you half the warranty period, they give you half off a replacement. Wally world has a no questions asked we'll just replace it because their deadbeat employee's just don't care, they will do anything possible to get you out from standing in front of htem as fast as humanly possible.

Advance Auto. 800cc amps, 3 year warranty. They install for you, those big group batteries are heavy!

$125.00 each for the golds. $12.00 core. They are 850cc, not 800cc sorry. Looks like they might be having a sale. I have 6 of these and never had a single issue and since there is an Advance auto on every street corner I never feel like I can't get a replacement if needed. (never have though) it comes with a 36 months free replacement and 84 months prorated warranty.

Take 20% off this item, plus receive a $50 coupon off of a future purchase of $100 or more. Enter code NYEAR during checkout. Online only.

edit- I checked for the 6.0 diesel. Not sure if the 7.3 runs a lighter battery, but it is probably the same for that big boy.

Got Duralast Golds in my truck, they've been there since August of 2007. They only reason they failed was because of loose battery connections that I've since rectified.

No matter who you go to, when everything is said and done, you'll end up spending about $270.

$122x2+24 core+ 8.25% tax= $290.11 minus the core charge= $266.11

What's this? Everything is bigger in Texas except the need for CCA?

I've had good luck with wally world batteries. This will probably do it in, but I'll say it quietly. I have one in my chevy that is at least 9 years old and still kicking.

Yes, because it doesn't get as cold so you don't have to crank through crazy thick cold engine oil
