Truck wouldn't start so I had it towed to the shop. After taking it off the tow truck the mechanic tried to start it and it fired right up. He tried it every 20 minutes and it continued to start. He called me and said he can't fix it if it ain't broke. Got truck and went home. Came out later and truck wouldn't start. Called mechanic. He said sometimes the jostling
around getting them off the tow truck fixes the problem. So, out I go
and rock the truck back and forth side ways. You guessed it, it started.
Battery cables aren't loose and battery & cables are relativey new. Sometimes it starts & sometimes it doesn't. It's a crap shoot. However,
now, before I try to crank it, I turn the key on and let it set a few seconds before I try to start it. So far, it has started every time. I
don't feel comfortable taking the truck very far from home because in my
mind the problem hasn't been fixed. Any ideas or suggestions?
