I did my coolant flush/change today and when refilling I put in 3.5 gal.
(14 qts.) of coolant but could only get 2 qts. of distilled H2O ?
Did I do something wrong or miss something? I followed beachbums
procedure. Ant ideas much appreciated.

Its Good
even if you drain everything you can the truck still holdsaround 3.5 gallons of water in it
When I do it I drain all the water I can and add the same 3.5 gallons of full strength coolant top off with water and its 50/50 mix or a touch stronger what is fine too
when In doubt they sell a Hydrometer to test coolant for cheap at the auto parts store you could test the coolant strength if you want but Im shure your fine
As long as you have a truck??????????????
I think the Excursions have a bigger coolant capacity IIRC
