Coolant mix?
I will need to top off my coolant. Can I just add the Cat EC coolant to the existing coolant that is in it? It still has the original coolant in it. What brands are best if I can't find the actual Cat product?

Dealers or shopes will not put the time needed into flushing the truck properly
Your best bet is to do it yourself and follow the procedure outlined in the tech folder
I spent 2days total a tank of fuel and 4 quarts of vc-9 cleaner 2 at a time and flushed many many times I unhooked every connection and stuffed a hose in it and reversed flushed engine,heater core,radiator, pulled block drain plugs the WORKS then put a new oil cooler in
If you have a dirty cooling system better take the time to do it right
and also keep in mind you may clog the oil cooler when you do this but if you take the time to backflush the oil cooler you should be fine
better do some studying on this subject
