topping off PS fluid

topping off PS fluid
I have to top off my fluid. It's just below the stick when the engine's cold. Can I get it from a parts store like in a brand like a mobil or valvoline or need I get it from the dealer. I know it's a ATF, at least I think I do.

All of the recent year trucks I have seen (as far back as Dad's '96 anyway) spec Mercon ATF as power steering fluid, but you might check your Owner's Manual to be sure, since you don't say what year.
Any Mercon compatible fluid should work.
