Rereading your original post i would say that your problem might be after your injection pump on your injector lines or return lines if it were before your injection pump i would think it would start and immeadatly die. Sence it doesn't even start you may have an air leak at your injectors or at the injection pump. I would make sure all of your injector o rings are in good condition and check all of the fittings coming from your injector pump. Does it only start when your oil pressure builds up?
the sticker on my viser says to hold the throtle half way when starting under normal conditions and all the way when realy cold it mechanicly changes the timing for faster starts, useualy they will start without it but I've see pumps go bad to where the truck wouldn't start when cold unless you held the pedal down.
Thanks for all of the feed back! My water seperator screws onto the bottom of the fuel filter (factory original). Sounds like my air leak problem is after the injection pump. I'll try tightening the hard lines that go to each injector. Is there a special wrench for tightening the lines on the injection pump? How tight? Some are impossible to get to with normal tools.
Also, I'm still wondering about the return line on the passenger side that goes back to the filter housing. I'm told there's a little "flapper valve" inside of it and if the "flapper" is gone, it allows fuel to bleed back to the tank??? It's ford pn# E9TZ-9K061-A. I'm considering buy a new one.
