Sorry folks, but this is my first project vehicle and I don't know how to decode a VIN from any type of manual (nor do I have any) so any help would be greatly appreciated. I know this much, it's a 77 F150 with a 460 4barrel, black, air and cruise. Vin is
Dang, I just dropped it off to get a shop to drain the bad gas from the tanks and replace the fuel pump. (I know I could have done that myself, but I had no place to put the gas). I'm hoping to get it back today and will post a pick of the plate if I can, if not I will try to post the info.
Thanks for the fast reply.
Oh and I should have said it's a 2wd (unfortunate, but it will still be a nice truck when I'm done...hopefully!!)

... here's an interesting tidbit. 1977 sequence numbers are split between O00,001 through O99,999 AND X80,001 through Z25,000. Your rig is an early 77.
Thanks so much for the link. I got the truck back this evening and I love it. Is there anyway to get a copy of the original window sticker?
I did get bent over by the shop though. They installed the fuel pump and an Interstate battery the size of Christmas (which is kind of cool) but told me to drive it till the smelly old gas burns out. I could have done that myself and saved $200 of the $390 they charged me. I'm gonna try to run some mechanic-in-a-can through it tomorrow before I change the old nasty oil. Gunk engine flush, hope it works well.

Kevin Marti, Marti Auto can supply a "Marti Report" that has all the info you could want. He can also supply reproduction warranty plates and federal certification stickers. www.martiauto.com
2.75 rear end? Wow, I don't know a lot about classic vehicles, but I'm surprised to hear they ran rear ends that low! 2.75 rear end with a 460 I'd be afraid to know what the top end would be! Way faster than a guy would ever want to go in a '77 F150 I'm sure!
