You've been a sport about this so far...glad you know how your levers work
I'll see if I can dig up some pics with the lever system. I seem to remember some of the levers are under the track that's bolted to the floor. Could be much easier if you unbolt the seat. Let me find the pics first.

OK, flip the seat base up, like you were folding it for cargo. This will expose the latching mechanisms at the base. You will see the release cable running side to side at the base of the seatback. There are two metal rods with a slight S bend running on top of the tracks (front to back).

Now that you can see the rods, flip the seatback release rearward like you were trying it to get in. Tilt the seatback forward and watch to see if both rods move. The two rods should move in unison and slightly backward when you tilt the seatback forward. If one or both don't move, it is likely a problem in the release cable. If they both move, look at the track releases below the two covers at the front of the tracks. There are levers there. Could be one of the rods or levers have become disconnected.

Thanks jasonodsky

As soon as I get some free time with daylight I will take a closer look.

I lifted the seat bottom that first night but didn't really know what to look for. Just sprayed wd40 in there hoping it would solve the problem.

I will keep you posted on what I find.

Thank You.

Do you think those S rods could cause the reverse problem (when the seat back is folded down, it sticks and won't come back up)?

Jason have you removed the plastic cover to see if the track release is actually working as it should, mine was hard to move forward until I removed the cover and lubed the release parts up, when you slamed it back and finally got it to latch you may of jammed it locked somehow

Jasonodsky, thanks for the pics.
I have discovered that my latch release rods do not budge when the lever is pulled back and the seat back flipped down. If I manually pull those rods back, the latch will release and allow to move the seat back and forth.

What part inside actually controls those rods? what piece should move to move those rods back?

Don't they have plastic clips on the ends to attach them to the lever and mechanism? I see one in that pic...are they intact and fastened?

I'm not even sure. I will try to take some pics or maybe a video of the moving parts tomorrow.

I think the yellow circle shows one end with a plastic clip...did the other end have one maybe?
