Steve Perry from Journey (go ahead and laugh at me, I love those guys)
James from Dream Theater
The guy from "Triumph", and the guy form ".38 Special", names escape me.
Paul Rodgers of Bad Company fame.
Addendum: Singers that Suck!
Why these yokels ever made a singing career, I'll never understand. I apologize in advance for this and suspect I will get blasted.
Plant was obviously great, so was the aforementioned Paul Rogers (Rodgers) of Bad Co., Steve Perry could wail on the falsetto's - but Mercury was a phenom.
Yeah, Sebastian Bach ... could ROCK ... his voice that is!
Jeff Walker
Sebastian Bach
Rob Halford
& Phil Anselmo-Possibly the angriest man on the planet. Or maybe Glen Benton should get that title. If anyone knows who he is.
Yeah Ozzy continues (against all oddz) to be "the BliZZard" - but not really a great 'singer' - he rocks, but not much vocal talent to speak of - outside of a studio.
I was on my way home tonight ,when I heard one of the best voices in rock on the radio. It made me realize, that we may have been somewhat sexist in our nominations.
The Wilson Sisters (Heart) could probably sing circles around any of the guys we listed. These girls were all Rock-n-Roll !!!! At least up until the late 80's when they toned it down a bit.
I'd also nominate Pat Benatar, she sings everything from opera, jazz, soft and hard rock. Great voice.
