idle in reverse high
1987 F 150 with 4.9 liter manual 4 speed trans.
When backing up (reverse) the idle seems too high. Each day when I go to back down driveway I don't need to (throttle )press gas petal, the idle seems high. I must engage clutch petal a bit to keep truck from just taking off down driveway. Any ideas???????

idle good forward
Yes idle is good, right around 1000rpm when not in gear. I guess I'm having problem describing what its doing. Its like your giving it fuel when you put it in reverse even though you are not touching gas petal. If you don't ride clutch its rips down driveway a bit too fast. But if you put it 1st gear no problem. I was having a idle problem but that stopped when I cleaned idle air control valve. But in reverse the truck kind of wants to take off a bit.
