Possible Injector problem????

Just got my 06 350 C.C. 6.0 out the shop...believe it or not the transmisson lines connecting to the radiator rusted and had a pine hole and I was losing fluid. Living in the northeast with all the salt corrison from the roads I guess it 's something you have to live with. I always keep the heater plugged in since it got cold. Jumped in the truck and warmed it up with no issues. I drove for approx 6-10 miles and it started to run at a rough idle when I stopped at an intersection. I drove about 2 miles and it smoothed out. I made a quick stop and when I jumped back in the truck it started with no problem then after a couple of miles it started to run rough at approx 45-55 mph and when I stopped at intersections. I didn't see any white smoke coming from the exhaust while driving. I just put a new egr valve in it approx 3-4 months ago. From what I've read on the forum it sounds like an injector problem. I have a scan gauge II but it didn't throw any codes. I haven't had a chance to program it to determine if it's a FICM problem but everything else checks out. Is ther any way to check if it is my injectors before going to the dealership?

I was having the same issues. Also had some intermittent black smoke. I checked the truck with 2 different code readers I had, no codes read. Took it to the dealer and had codes for 2 injectors. Had them replaced and the rough running at idle or above 50mph went away. Also my mpg went back up and I have tons of power again.

Bigwille your scangauge is not going to pull any codes if you don't have a light. You need to find someone that has something that will read them , i have a 150 dollar actron scanner it will not pull unless theres a light .My hypertec programer will pull them.

it doesnt sound like an ficm issue, but i would program in the codes and just check it at the three required times. i would do the blue spring update asap so u dnt risk low fp taking out anymore injectors if it is infact injectors.
