Talyn, never did hear back if your pump is loose or not. Grab a fan blade and try to wiggle it back and forth and see if there's any slop. I guess you would also begin to see green or dirty brown fluid coming out the weep hole under the pump casing. Also, before I bolted in my most recent alternator, I noticed that the ribbed pulley that came with it was no good. Specifically, I believe it had 6 ribs on the pulley but my existing belt has about 8 ribs. I had to swap the pulley to the new alternator before installing. Might be worth verifying that all accessories have the same number of ribs that the belt has!
