Do the husky liners have the two buttons on the drivers side to hold them in place?
I sure do want the ford ones...my rubber superduty mats already have a heel hole in them. Was just gonna replace the fronts..but ny if they snap in place.
My weather techs have two raised circle impressions where thos two buttons go. They don't do anything but cover them up. I don't know about the husky ones though.
Husky does not have the two post latches, just a bump up to cover them. However, I will say that the drivers side mat fits so perfectly that it barely moves. Very impressed with it. The passenger side one does move more, but not bad. The back seat mat fits well.

This ^^
My 2 complaints are that the pass. side doesn't sit flat up by the floor heater and the center piece (I bought the 3 piece front set) doesn't "integrate" with the driver/pass. pieces (it doesn't hang over the driver/pass liners cleanly).
I have the Husky mats. I agree with the 2 posts above, drivers side and rear are great. Only disappointment is with the pax side. It has a high side that runs up the heater and does not sit completely flat. Overall very happy though.
If it helps, the weather tech is very similar to the husky in that the driver and rear mats fit very well but the passenger floor one does move around. I have to say that it fits well enough, just nothing around to keep it firmly planted. I'm very happy with them.
And jack, there is a plastic product that construction folks use to cover carpet while finishing a home or building. I think it would work well for you but I don't have any idea what it is called. You will find it on new carpet before the occupancy permit/inspection is finalized.
I have the Huskies as well and the floor mat clips do not go through on the driver's side, but there are two reliefs in the plastic mat. (I have the weather beaters)
Go with the Husky Weather Beaters. They fit far better than the classic liners and still have the plastic nibs on the back to grip the carpet and keep them from moving about.
I recommend the Husky weatherbeater liners.
These have saved my carpets more than once and keeps the dirt, mud, water, snow (when we get it) within the liner.
Might not fit as perfectly as the super duty factory mats but they get the job done.
