i am looking at aquiring a gooseneck deck over this summer to haul the camper, wheelin rig and maybe some quads. been looking at trailers over the last few months and been thinking of getting a 32-35 foot trailer and its 22,500gvwr. having a dove tail is not a huge issue looking the cheaper route and dont haul many cars and if i do i can get my parents trailer. i have came across pj trailers and them seem like a good built trailer besides from what i have heard they have some paint issues but not a big deal.
any ideas on a trailer would be great. looking to buy a dozer or backhoe in a year or 2 also and they are around 15k weight so i need a heavy duty trailer. thanks

would you go with 3 singles or 2 dual tires
Be careful of towing a NEW trailer with a gooseneck as a lot of RV manufacturers will not warrantee the 5th wheel if you tow it with a gooseneck. They say it overstresses the hitch on the RV.

Why would this apply to a trailer built as a gooseneck? I don't see anywhere where he says he wants to use a 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter.

I saw this:
"aquiring a gooseneck deck over this summer to haul the camper" - As I own a 5er, I, wrong as it may be, see the word 5th wheel when used in conjunction with *hitch, be it goose or not.
well i think the tandem dually would be the most common way to go and kind of the standard out there.Mine is a 3 axle single and it works great, but i stumbled into a good deal so i grabbed it....lol
I moved the plate to the back of the ramp. Works great.
That's what I did on my 18' 14k trailer. I welded a couple pieces between the ramp cross bars to bolt it to. I didn't mount a tag light but havent been pulled over for it... yet.
I was able to just drill and tap some holes in the ramp to mount the plate. I figure if I should ever get pulled over for it I will explain to the kind office that either it is there or the plate will be destroyed by the ramps. His choice.
