93 F150 super cab, big 6 ( Inline 6 ) 5 speed manual trans, 2 wheel drive. This truck has around 220,000 miles on it!
I replaced both fuel pumps, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, checked the lines for leaks and didnt find any. What is my problem is when the truck sits over night it loses all fuel pressure on the rail and i have to sit there every morning switching back and forth from one tank to the other till it primes back up. I only switch tanks cause i do not want to burn up one of the pumps. It take around 30 to 45 mins to prime it back up.. Could this be a bad injector?
Could be a number of things, maybe a fuel pump check valve problem allowing pressure to leak off, leaking fuel injector as you've mentioned, clogged fuel filter, kinked fuel line, clogged fuel pump in tank pickup sock, weak pump, low operating pump voltage (under load voltage drop) from, damaged wiring with broken strands, corroded inertia switch contacts, faulty fuel pump power relay contacts, loose, corroded bad ground, ect, ect.
I know you said the pumps & regulator have been replaced, but that doesn't automatically make em good, as I've seen plenty of bad new parts right out of the box, so for now keep an open mind & leave everything on your suspect list until it's proven itself.
Try hooking a fuel pressure gauge up to the fuel rail schrader valve test port & see what the fuel pressure & delivery rate over time numbers look like. If the fuel pressure or delivery rate numbers are low, make sure that the pump under load B+ voltage feed is up to snuff & the pump ground connection is sound.
Some thoughts for consideration. You'd likely get more detailed input in the F-150 forums though.
