Engine ID numbers
Hi all, I am back again with some ID numbers for you. I believe the engine to be a 272 but it came out of an Australian Star model Utility from 1959. I cant seem to find anyone down here to help me ID it. The Block numbers near the Distributor are CEBY 60158 also there is an E3 near the oil cannister. The heads have ECG-S on both and 72-S on one head and 73-U on the other. I hope some one can help me out. Thanks from Ashley.

Built in Canada so they may have done something different.
However in the US the EBY block was a 256 cube 54 Merc and 54-55 F600.
BUT in 55 the same block was used as the optional 272 in the F600 as bore is the same.
I do not show a ECG-S head but all other ECG's are for 55-6 272's.
