I belong to many machining sites alright there, but this site is like sluggish,
errors on page, back button dont work, sometimes to go back I have to
X out and come back in. Large truck site same thing. Again to read
some ones post > click >error on page. cook bacon eggs eat it and finally
it comes up. Again other sites are bang zoom but not this one, so its not
me or this computor. ????? samuel
There have always been problems with this site being slow or not loading properly. I'm not IT pro but I suspect it has to do with all the advertisements on the pages. This site has the most ads of any site I visit. You can become a paying supporter and the site is suppose to work a lot better. Nice set up hey!
Clear your cookies and temporary internet files if you are using Internet Explorer. Go to Tools, Internet Options, Browsing History (for Win 7), check the box at the top that says "preserve Favorites website data". Make sure you know all your passwords before you clear it just in case.
Also make sure you aren't using two antivirus programs, for instance both the Windows program and one like Norton.
Bob's right about the ads. That is what is slowing it down. An approach that worked for me is to install Firefox and the AdBlocker add in. Then you can block the sites ads and the pages will load fast. For the record I like IE but only for this site I will use Firefox.
This site really is horrible for adware and malware. It is impossible to use with IE. I did the Firefox and adblocker thing and something got in and corrupted that and disabled the adblocker. Now Firefox won't work on this site. Currently I'm using Google Chrome and adblocker and so far I'm having pretty good luck. But now that my secret is out, I may not get back in again.
I don't do a lot of websurfing, just a few forums and business related stuff. But this is by far the most difficult site to work with I know.
