Carb'd to EFI

Any resident experts on this topic? I'd like to convert my truck over to just a stock EFI system out of a mustang or something similar.

Parts list would need to include the wiring harness and relevant sensors obviously. I am not sure if I would need a different distributor or not.

Give me some inspiration guys..

Depends on your engine, but this has been debated many times. Best input you'll find will be in the engine forums for your application.

Long story short...most agree that you will not gain any power compared to a well tuned carb, and only slight mileage improvements. The biggest benefit to EFI is low maintenance, the biggest drawback is complexity to install and cost.

Here is my write up on the conversion I did to my truck. I am very pleased with it.

I am not looking for more power, just looking for better mileage and a little bit better reliability

Motor is a 302, so it should be easy to compile all the parts..

I bought a RJM harness for my wife's Mustang. Just set it on top of the engine and start plugging stuff in. I love it.
