HELP!!!!! Can someone tell me where the clips are on the calipers of a 78 F-100. I just can't find them and I have to get the calipers off, I fell kind of dumb. Can anyone help me out
You should read the moderator's thread at the top about providing more info in your subject line. Not just "Help"
However help you I will
At the bottom of the caliper with a bolt through it is the Retainer that holds the caliper tight. It has a bolt through it holding it in place. If you take that bolt out you can drive that retainer out and the caliper will come off. It has a metal clip that puts tension on it. Be sure to notice how this goes under that spacer and put it back when you put it back together.
Oops somebody beat me to it. When you drive that "retainer out you will see the clip under it. I think you can see the end of the clip when it's together if you look at the end of it.
The clip comes out with it. It does not come off to let the retainer out.
