Idle Problems
First off i have a 1992 f150 with a 302. I just rebuilt it 2 months ago and a problem has surfaced. It won't idle worth a crap. It does alright in park or neutral however god forbid you put it in gear then she immediately looses Rpm's and stalls. Any Suggestions? If it doesn't stall it surges RPM's from 200-1400. The idle is set a little high at around 850.

Check for codes. Did you add anything to the motor when it was rebuilt?

everything 56 lift cam new pistons 3 in heads alot. I just replaced the alternator and it got worse.

You need a custom tune with all the work you put into that engine.

turned out to be the throttle position sensor. 40 bucks and good to go
