The Excursion GVWR precludes them from mandated Government crash testing.

I recently crash tested mine. (wife did actually)

It was a 35 MPH offset impact. Well she was going 35, he was going about 50.

This is the result.

Thumbs up excursion safety

I have had my X for 1 1/2 years now and have been unlucky enough to be involved in two accidents with drunk drivers.
The first one was when a drunk-excon tried to pass the X on the shoulder and hit a guardrail and bounced into the side of the X while doing over 75mph, baseball sized hole in door skin, but no structural damage.
The second was when a drunk lost control of her car and crossed the median and I broadsided her doing 65mph! I would have driven home if the radiator wasn't leaking.
Trust me when I say that I would have been injured or dead in both cases if I was driving a smaller rig! I walked away without a scratch both times, as did all passengers. Both of the other drivers were not so lucky!!!!
It is a tank and I love it!
