Reprograming a remote/removing all those bells.
Help!! My Ford dealer can't help me program an extra remote door lock opener for my 03 6.0 F350 diesel. It was a fairly simple process on my '99 7.3 but something seems to have changed. I would also like to eliminate the warning bells when the driver's door is opened with the key in the ignition. Also I have to get out of the truck to close the garage doors and the seat belt warning bell needs to go also. I'm a firm believer in seat belts and use them religiously. My older brother was ejected when he was a teenager and still suffers from the head trauma he received.

Your dealer should be able to hookup their WDS(scan tool) and possibley take care of some of the items you listed through Programmable Parameters. As far as the extra key fob, I'll try and look into that and post the answer as soon as I get the info, hang loose. I think they have to use the WDS for that as well on the 03's. I don't remeber being able to turn off the "key in ignition minder", but they should be able to do something with the "seatbelt minder".

CHECK OUT PAGE 88 IN YOUR 2003 OWNERS GUIDE. IT HAS THE DEACTIVATION SEQUENCE FOR THE BELTMINDER CHIME THERE. READ THRU IT ONCE TO GET AN IDEA OF WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO BEFORE YOU ACTUALLY DO IT AS SOME OF THE ACTIONS ARE TIME SENSITIVE

!! I installed a fuse block under the hood yesterday and I'll get an ignition hot only circuit under the dash today. Then it is on to the CB hookup and various and sundry other items.
