I have an 06 F250 and was looking into gagues. Looks like glowshift are really good priced considering that one pyrometer from riffraff diesel cost what their whole kit does. Likes/dislikes? What 3-4 should I get?
I got fuel, EGT, and oil pressure from them to monitor LPOP. Only complaint I have had from them is after about a week my fuel press started fluxing from about 15psi. Called customer service they sent me out a new sender no questions asked and have had no more issues. I would buy again, and would recommend as well. Like you said for the price you cant go wrong, and they look good as well.
My fuel press is inside the cab on the pillar. It's and electric gauge and therefor no more harm than any other electric component inside your cab. If it were mechanical and you had had a fuel line running to the back of it then what your buddy is saying would make sense, but with electric no harm. Just my opinion of course. Also do you have a ScanGauge? If so then Trans temp can be read through there. If not then your 3 choices sound good.
I was just going to post that it looks tacky and there is really no place to mount it. Maybe if it had a window mount or something then it'd be better. The edge is pretty flashy and I may like that better.
I would buy GloShift again, nice product. I have 60psi boost, egt, and fuel pressure. Very happy.

Funny, I also had this problem about the boost gauge flickering back and forth when I have the headlights/dash lights on. At the same time I noticed my scan gauge showing at best mid to low 12 volts running. Soon after noticed 11.5-12 volts. Changed out the alternator to a 180 amp(14 volts running) and guess what, that boost gauge no longer flickers!

I do know that they sell a blend mount for it which allows it to be mounted above the rear view mirror, you might check amazon.com but I have no personal thoughts on the mount itself. I put an aftermarket radio in my truck and the scangauge fit perfectly in the cubby below the radio. I would highly recommend the scan gauge if not for the money, but mainly for the amount of info that can read from it.
Now that I have had my gauges for a while, they have worked flawlessly.
2 things that I would change, not dim-able, tripod blocks some view.
Yesterday while driving I realized that a mount on top of the speedo cluster would be perfect. It would put the gauges right in my view and not block forward view any.
I have installed the GlowShift Boost, EGT and Trans Temp in my 2001 F250 Powerstroke. So far I've had to replace the Trans Temp one time and now the EGT has quit working for the second time. Both times they have quit just out of warranty. Very Cheap to buy, but very cheap quality as far as I'm concerned. I'm a Ford Trained Mechanic and they treat me like I don't know what I'm doing when trouble shooting the problem. Very dissatisfied with their Gauges and there Customer Service.
They seem to be hit or miss. I have a glowshift fuel pressure gauge and the sending unit failed after a month or two. They sent me a new one right away, so at least they have good customer service. Now the gauge seems to work when it wants to. Most of the time its alright but other days it will randomly read all over the place. I plan on going with isspro or autometer when I get the money
