Permanently rotating squeaking sound

Hi to all,
I bought a 4x4 2000 Ex with the V10 4month ago.
First I had a awful squeaking sound when turn left, but it disapeared
when driving straight or heading right.
Man, I oiled and greased everything which is a rotating part.
It stops for a day but did come back.
Now its getting much more worse, because now it squeak not only
when I turn left, eveb when Im diving straight it squeeks awfully.
What the f**k?
I have checked the disk brakes: Nothing
I greased the ujoints: Nothing
I checked the oil in the diffs front and rear: Nothing
I checked the wheel hubs bearings, no play in it.Nothing worn out

I need help. I don't know what it could be. Yeah, I even don't know
if it is front or rear.
The only fact is that my rear driveshaft is a little worn out, and the driver side
rubber bushing of the sway bar is worn out/broken.
Any ideas?
I couldn't found anything matching or nearby here.

It sounds like u-joints but they need zerks to grease. Squeaks can be illusive and nearly impossible to pen down. You need someone to ride with you and get in different positions to listen for starters. They need to be all over that truck like a monkey; back, front, left, right , head under, etc.

Thanks, guys. Will double check the ujoints, specially the front ones, cause though it was a problem during steering.
The idea of ratching someone underneath will be a problem, 'cause since I live in Germany we haven't so much mexican people here...
I will try some japenese white collars. We've got plenty of them.
Thanks again and a pretty xmas to all of you.

I meant have someone lay on the floor and stick their head out the door and down and listen. You don't have to explain what you are doing unless you get pulled over. At that point try to act like a sane person. Merry Christmas.

Do you hear the sound when locked in 4 wheel drive? How about unlocked in 2 wheel drive?

Gibt es viele Ford Excursions in Deutschland?

I had the exact same thing. On my X it turned out to be a bushing on the drivers side rear suspension. It was very annoying and noticeable when the window was down. Some white lithium grease cleared it up. I was able to locate it by crawling under the truck and shacking things. I did start with my f and r driveshaft first but they were solid and quiet. Hope that helps a bit.

@wpnaes
the squeaking sound was on turn lefts and on unlocked front wheel hubs.
Than I locked them, cause I had the same idea as you, and voila, it disapeared immideatly.......and came back on the next morning
I live in Gelsenkirchen, thats the middle of the Ruhrgebiet.Its an area with over 10.000.000 people on ca 7000 sqkm. Its not one town, its more a town cluster and you drive on the same street but you change the city without getting aware of it.
I drive the only one Excursion in Gelsenkirchen, and haven't seen another one yet in the whole area. There are some 'Burbs and 'Hoes, quite a lot Rams, some H2 but none EX.
Quite Exotic.
Why is your German so good?
I was a member of the German Ford Forum Board, and want to find people wich own such a beauty too, but there were none. I mean NONE. Asked the admins if I could open an own ExBoard, and they asked me for real, WTF is a Excursion? Can you imagine that?
That's why Im here. Many real quit professional and avid Ford Enthusiasts.

@archtaan
Thank you. I will double check them at the rear, too.
.....but I can't imagine, why a rear bearing would start whining at the slightest turning of the steering.

@exv10
How can I be sane, when I bought a V10 and drive in in Germany, Huh?
Our gas prices are little higher than yours, I guess. 1 litre is about 1,55 €. So 1 gallon is about $ 7,72. Any Questions?
I know what you mean, pal, but if this truck stand still, everything is tight and there is no little shakin of anything possible, with exception of my rear driveshaft. I even lift up the axles and each single wheel to check it once and twice. Oh, by the way, my buddy works fulltime at a big local truck repair shop....and I mean TRUCK (>40 mt).
So actually he knows what to do, but we both haven't any idea any more.

I know it sounds out there but I had the same issue. The sprung weight of the vehicle just made a bushing squeak. It was really weird. I hope it is something easy for you, it drove me insane.

I am guessing it probably is something in your front end or driveline though based on your response to wpnaes.

Good evening Mike,

Check out this link for servicing your needle bearings. While you're in there go ahead and service your lockout hubs (what you turn to engage 4WD) too.

Forget about the little foreigners, strap a little recorder near where you think the squeak is. Desperate problems require desperate measures.

Good Morning Sean,
those links are great, thank you for that. I ordered the Haynes DIY for the F- Series and Excursions, but it will take 6 weeks to get one. Still waiting on one.
@exv10
Hi Brent,
thanks for this advise. Good Idea to take a recorder ( I own a outdoor mobile). It will replace the mexican and japanese people for good.

Guten Morgen German Mike,

I had 2 squeaks that drove me a bit crazy for a few months. One was from the rear brakes - this one I could not tell where it was coming from. It just disappeared after replacing the rear pads and greasing the caliper bolts. The second squeak was also associated with a clunk which was coming from the drivers side hub assembly. This one does not sound similar to yours. Good luck hunting that squeaker down!

Wir lebten in Darmstadt für zwei Jahre. We sure do miss the Kris Kringle Markt during Christmas und the Popeye Schnitzle from Eichbaum Tressen......Frohe Weihnachten (Merry Christmas)!!!

and the awesome fast Zugfahrten
