ENGINE COOLANT

whats a good kind to use and is there any one that out proforms

Do a search for Ford Gold Coolant... Great stuff, will outlast your truck.

If you have a diesel, you need to run CAT ELC1 rated

That's ELC, as in Extended Life Coolant. And it's an ELC that's rated CAT EC-1, not ELC1.

No your over worked! TOR has you cleaning up the place!

Description: K&N air intake, BBK Dual 65mm throttle body, Jet Mass air flow, Jet spacer, Royal purple engine, Royal purple trans, Royal purple rear diff, Fitch Fuel Catalyst. took off my luggage rack, removed that big black rubber piece under the hood, ditched the running boards, took out the 3rd row seat and bass systeme, Around 13.2 MPG

sounds like a gasser, specially that 13.2 mpg.

Yeah, especially with the throttle body and mass air flow mods.

Where in the heck did you see that?

its good to be back

Sorry took me so long to get back i got suspended.

anyways thanks guys..... anyone has tried the purple ice thing to. i am about to put in jets 180 degreese therm and going to flush out my coolent and start from bar none.......

while i was being suspended i replace my blower motor it rusted out at the bottom has anyone had that problem and i got it done cheep and it was hard to find the rubber gasket.

I haven't used the Ice but do use the Redline Water Wetter. Cheap additive and certainly causes no harm. The surface tension is similar to what you'll see if you boil a pot of water - if the water is boiling then the pot has areas where the water doesn't contact it. The additive reduces that tension and allows the coolant to fully contact all of the coolant tracts. Theoretically the coolant should raise the boiling point and so surface tension should be at a higher temperature but all engines have hotter areas where this can certainly make a difference.
