High flotation tire pressure
High flotation tire pressure
I don't know how I didn't notice this before, but my high floats are over inflated lol. I just pressurized them like you do regular tires, no wonder I bounce all over the road. What would be a good pressure for a reg cab short bed 4x4 with a 5.0? Max pressure for the tire is 35 PSI and I know I am over that.
Need look at the tire, keep in mind flotation tires larger they are less PSI required to support weight.
The 39's on a truck I had in my youth, they took 25psi (tread was 16" wide). 35psi be to much on a tire like that, cause em rise up and ride on the center area of the tread area rather then maintain full width contact patch.

Put a chalk line across the tread and drive for a block or two. If the line is worn off in the center but not on the outside, you have too much pressure. If it's worn off on the outside but not in the center, the pressure is too low. Adjust the pressure and repeat until the line is worn off evenly across the tread surface. Then you should be at about the right pressure.
