i just got a 90 f250 4wd with the 300 inline 6 in it. i have always been a small block chevy guy growing up and this is my first ford. i am gonna lift it and put some 315/70/17 or trim to make them fit. i want more power to go play in the dunes or mud. i live in michigan so we have alot of it. i will use it in the woods and what not and haul a camper so im lookin for ways to add more power to the engine. i have been lookin into a power adder such as a turbo or supercharger but havent had much luck findin a full on kit that is bolt on and go i can do the mechanics but not the fab or anything. any tips or hints or anything would be greatly appricated

Welcome to the forum!
No bolt on kits for turbo or super charge except what others have fabed up. Try this...
There is one on this forum for a supercharger but you'll have to dig that one up.
If all you can do is mechanical bolt on and no fab seems to be your only option for what you want is... dare I say it put a BB in it but I would not. I think if you just bolt on some performance like exhaust, cam, intake, carb you'll be plenty happy dunein it or just trekin around the woods.
You can't go too radical with any performance.. Your 90 f250 is computer controlled, and the speed density makes it go absolutely nuts if you increase it past a certain %. A good exhaust and a port and polish on the head supposedly really wake these engines up. I have left mine stock and found it was good enough for what I do, although I would like to get a little more grunt out of the lower end.

The threshold is like 10% difference, then the computer ****s bricks...
So cam whatelse could I do with out it goin nuts I figure a better exhaust system gears intake what bout doin some head work and lifters I read bout chevy lifters in the fords and then is there a chip for this year that would help im gonna do the work this winter I just want the most bang for my buck thanks for all the tips n help as I am new to this world of fords
A good free-flowing exhaust system also seems to really help these engines wake up, but from all the research I have done the head is the bottleneck in this engine. If I understand correctly, the chevy lifters are just a "poor man's cam", causing you to gain more lift, thus power. So if you do swap in a "computer friendly" cam, then you probably don't want to do the chevy lifters as well. Vise verse...
Ok so what do u mean by bottleneck if I was to have the head port matched polished and maybe decked would that help to wake it up im sorry for the stupid questions are there aftermarket efi intakes for these trucks
