Hi I'm new to this site And am looking for suggestions and comments on my project
I have a 06 f250 lb xlt SD 6.0 L turbo
Iam putting a 6 inch rough country suspension lift with double front stabilizers
And I want to put 37 12.5 17 s on it dose anybody foresee any troubles ahead for me
discount tires have nittos for $331 and shipping is half off right now. I have 35" on mine and they did rub a little. I had to move the front bumper up about a quarter inch but I only have a 4" lift. Not sure if a 6" would take care of it or not sorry.
i have a 6.5" lift with 37x12.5x16.5 and no rubbing. Just wish I would of put gears in my truck same time I did the lift and stuff. You are going to lose allot on the low end kinda like extra turbo lag. I will be swaping out my gears soon as I can afford to have randys put the 4:30 or 4:56 yukons in. Have you climbed into a truck like yours that has 37s and a 6" lift? its way taller than I thought it was going to be.
hey man i have a 6 inch with 37 it only rubs a little on the bottom plastic part on the front bumber. I mean by like a milimeter, it doesnt rub on anything else so i would assume youd be aright. Ya ur mileage is going to suck also but who cares it looks really cool. I also take mine off roading a lot on the beach with no rubbing issues from that. I use some M-16 SS, i reallllllyyyy like them they are an awesome sand tire which i did not expect and of course do well in the mud. O one more thing my wheels do pop out the tire about 1.5 - 2 inchs outside the truck. Hope this helps
from my experience make sure that track bars bushing is good and that you get it good and tight or you very well could end up spending alot more money like myself
I would take it to a heavy duty truck shop afterwards and have them torque the track bar correctly. Its 400 ft lbs I think, odds are you don't have a torque wrench that big.
Also, post back and let us know about that rough country kit. I hear they aren't the greatest, but they are the only 6" kit in that price range that doesn't require stacking blocks.
I will keep updateing
My brothers law works at peterbuilt so I will have a big tourq and make sure there at 400 lbs is there a problem with them loosening I'll also use lock tight on everything
Thanks. Ian
