Hi everyone, I haven't checked in for a while so I thought I'd show you what I've been up to.
The tilt frame is made out of 2''X1''X1/8'' box section, at the moment I'm deciding what has to be done to make the hood fit nicely, the cab is a little higher than it should be so the hood slopes down, I'm going for an '85 SAR Kenworth look ....... maybe not sloping that much but you get the idea.
Gas struts will be used to help lift (coz it's getting heavy )and limit travel.
Anyhow here's a few pics, Regards, Steve.
If you don't know what an SAR Kenworth looks like , check out ''Driving Wheels " by Jimmy Barnes.....It's the truck the young bloke gets into,U tube, good song too !
Gidday Lee, the car infront of the truck is my daily driver for the last 25years, it's a 1975 XB Falcon hardtop 302 Cleveland, 4speed, real good car, has never let me down ,no A/C though . When I get the truck going the XB will be the next project.
I hope you all have a good Christmas, regards, Steve.
