Wheel Cap screws

I have a set of wheels that have a center cap for each wheel, they are Ford wheels and caps.

I need to buy the screws that fasten each cap to the wheel, there are 3 screws per cap for a total of 12 screws.

Does anyone know where I could buy a set for my wheels.

Thank you

Post a pic of the wheels you are working on...to the best of my knowlege theres no fasteners for caps/covers on 61-66 F series trucks...they all snapped on...

They are Ford wheels and caps optional: 1977 thru 1996.

You are describing the styled steel & styled aluminum wheels Ford introduced in 1977 for F100/150's & E100/150's.

Same and similar wheel were used thru 1996, also on 1978/96 Bronco's.

There are two different types of screws: Chrome (389465-S45) & Black (388761-S47B).

There are also two different types of anchors...these should be replaced. Once the hubcaps have been R&R'd two or three times, the expandable anchors become loose in the wheels.

When rounding a corner, the hubcaps/screws and anchors will FLY OFF!

The anchors are hand pressed into the wheels (their 3 holes are within the bolt circle pattern). Then the hubcaps are placed onto the wheels, screws pass thru the hubcaps into the anchors.

Styled steel wheels use steel anchors (D8TZ-1A100-A), aluminum wheels use nylon anchors (D6FZ-1A100-A). These do not interchange, so I have to know which type of wheel you have.

If the hubcaps are chromed plastic: Chrome screws. If black plastic: Black screws.

All these parts are obsolete, but dozens of each can be found NOS at Ford Dealers, obsolete parts vendors.

Come across several faded hub caps as mention in salvage yards; I recommend taken the screws off some old salvage truck ; they shouldn't be to expensive; the sy might just give them to ya.

For which type of wheel, Styled Steel or Aluminum? Chrome or black screws, steel or nylon anchors?

I can find these parts NOS, but first I need the correct info.
