When I drive my E250 and turn if off sometimes it will not start it will crank and crank but won't start. It almost starts at times when trying to restart it but sounds like only some cylinders are firing but won't start. If I wait awhile 5-10 minutes after trying to start it for a while several times it fires right up and runs perfectly fine.<O

This has happened a least 6-8 times in the last 30 days driving the van. But always been able to get it to start per above sooner or later. I never have the problem (off a cold start) when I first start the van in the morning only when the van has been driven and turned it off during the day for a while and getting back in the van an hour or two later is when this happens and not every time. Most times it starts right up and runs perfectly fine.<O

So can anyone give me some advice and have any ideals on what I could start checking or replacing?<O

For the record but I don't think the below has anything to do with it?<O

I had a radiator leak and got the trans range finder sensor code I assume from the sensor getting wet from the leak. I replaced the radiator and that code/light never came back on.<O

The other thing I noticed is my overdrive light flashes on the steering column lever sometimes and other times does not. Btw can anyone tell me what this means?<O

Try this next time. Floor the throttle and see if the motor begins to fire off a lot sooner.
If yes, it is because flooring the throttle cuts off fuel injection clearing out the cylinders.
You may have a head coolant temperature sensor issue causing the fuel to be set to rich.
Look for codes to give an idea of what the problem might be.
The flashing OD light is telling you the PCM has detected an issue with the transmision operation.
Check the transmission range selector for correct adjustment.
It may be a cause of a no start in Park or Neutral because it's part of the start circuit.
Good luck.
